WindFolder Studio ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you play
WindFolder, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Please read this policy carefully alongside our
Terms of Service.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information depending on how you use the Service:
a) Information You Provide Directly
- Google Play Games or Apple Game Center display name and avatar (if you sign in for leaderboards).
- Communications you send us via email (support requests, legal inquiries).
b) Information Collected Automatically
- Device Information: Device model, OS version, unique device identifiers (Android Advertising ID or Apple IDFA), screen resolution, and language settings.
- Gameplay Data: Flight distances, scores, planes collected, Crystals earned/spent, power-ups used, crash events, and session durations. This is used to operate leaderboards and improve game balance.
- Crash & Performance Data: Error logs, crash reports, and performance metrics to diagnose and fix bugs.
- Ad Interaction Data: Advertisements viewed or clicked (collected by Google AdMob SDK). See Section 3 for details.
c) Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect your real name, email address, phone number, or physical address through in-game play.
- We do not collect payment card or financial information directly (this is handled by Google Play Billing / Apple App Store).
- We do not access your device's camera, microphone, contacts, or location.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve the WindFolder game and Service.
- Display your score and name on global leaderboards.
- Detect and prevent cheating, fraud, and unauthorized use.
- Analyze gameplay patterns to balance game mechanics and power-up systems.
- Serve personalized advertisements through Google AdMob to support the free-to-play model.
- Respond to support and legal inquiries.
- Comply with legal obligations.
3. Third-Party Services & SDKs
WindFolder integrates third-party SDKs that may collect data independently. Each is governed by its own privacy policy:

4. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:
- Service Providers: Trusted vendors who help us operate the game (e.g., analytics, crash reporting) under strict confidentiality agreements.
- Legal Requirements: When required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
- Safety: To protect the rights, property, or safety of WindFolder Studio, our players, or the public.
- Business Transfer: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your data may be transferred to the successor entity.
Leaderboard scores and display names are publicly visible to all WindFolder players by design.
5. Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K)
WindFolder is rated for players aged 3+. We take children's privacy very seriously. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in certain jurisdictions) without verifiable parental consent.
The advertising shown to users identified as children complies with Google's Families Policy and applicable law — only age-appropriate, non-behavioral ads are served to child users.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us at privacy@winderpaper.com and we will delete the information promptly.
6. Data Retention
We retain automatically collected gameplay and device data for as long as necessary to operate the Service and fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, typically no longer than 24 months from your last active session, after which it is anonymized or deleted. Leaderboard score data may be retained indefinitely in anonymized form.
7. Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect the data we collect against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your data:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data ("Right to be Forgotten").
- Opt-Out of Personalized Ads: You can reset or opt out of personalized advertising using your device's advertising settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization; iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking).
- Disconnect Gaming Accounts: You can disconnect your Google Play Games or Apple Game Center account from WindFolder at any time through your device settings.

9. International Transfers
Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your data to countries that may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date and, where appropriate, providing an in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
